Fuji is known to produce higher contrast JPGs, with lots of details lost in shadows, but its usually not a problem for RAW shooters. Thanks Like 6 May 15, 2017 permalink SnapHappy32 I get your point. But the scene appears to be pretty evenly lit from left to right. The next step is labeling aperture and shutter adjustments as cons on the 100G, I assume.Like 1 Apr 24, 2017 permalink uzevla I've had 3 different RX100 cameras, one RX100 II and 2x RX100 III.This, along with the small body, large sensor and fixed focal length lens, is core to its shooting experience and its appeal.I love the Sony ergonomics, and the camera is totally configureable to users' taste. Fujifilm's X100F is the most refined variant of the company's 35mm equiv APS-C camera. But does the latest version retain the charm to attract new buyers to offer enough improvement to re-enthuse existing users? Read moreGo to a camera store and look through it and tell me it isn't incredible. To me, a 24-28 as the normal lens with a converter getting me to 20-21 (and a teleconverter getting me to 35 with an easy crop to 50) is a camera I'd buy in a second.I have about 550 shots from Paris from nights on the river to street.Could you do so and substitute the results in your review.8-billion-pixel Mars panorama The space agency used a different lens to capture this new 650-million-pixel Mars panorama. They might not have quite the 'every photographer should try shooting with one' appeal of a true rangefinder, but the combination of its large sensor, small body, classic looks and layout has attracted a dedicated user base.Like 9 May 7, 2017 permalink Fran D I've owned an S and still own a T.It's still a niche camera, but this latest version's limitations stem primarily from its design, rather than its implementation. The image quality takes a huge leap forward, as do the ergonomics, thanks to the addition of the AF joystick.Fujifilm's X100F is the most refined variant of the company's 35mm equiv APS-C camera. Like 9 May 28, 2017 permalink davids8560 Great stuff. 85 Fujifilm announces new X-series firmware and updated lens roadmap Sep 7, 2017 at 06:00 Alongside the new X-E3 and XF 80mm F2.I was definitely committed to getting that shot.Even my Jurassic X10 is great for urban everyday use. Many years we never see a snowflake but drive 60 miles east on I-90, you are likely to see 10 feet of snow and skiing in May.I'm a modest amateur photographer, but I do think that shooting with the Fuji's have made me a better photographer; that's how inspiring these babies are. While Classic Chrome has its moments, I think I've moved past the shifted blues and crushed shadows.Maybe if I'd shot some jpegs I'd have thought about keeping it.Both differ from the original Bayer sensor - not better or worse, just different. Fujifilm X100F Review.
IMO - when the total cost is factored in it is quite expensive for what it is.I often use the 100F with ISO on front command dial and program shift on rear dial. However I can't help being intrigued by the Ricoh, so tiny and yet same sensor size. No extra battery - I already had a power bank with USB-C cable for my phone.Failing to see that relative size matters in a comparison like this and that the visuals should reflect reality in this regard is not ok.Like 2 9 months ago permalink Thoughts Neither of the ILCs has snap focus that GR has. What makes the Ricoh my preferred is that, because of its size, it will go anywhere, anytime.FujiFilm X100F is 58% (19.X100t and s usable to 6400, which is plenty.Although each goes about its business in a slightly different way, they seem suited for the exact same use case. Let's assume the X100V is not announced for another six months and doesn't ship for another three months after that. I suspect the autofocus speed will increase, given the X Trans 4 sensor.I think a tilt screen is my number one wish for the upgrade. And perhaps weather sealing, to avoid the rumblings of dust on the sensor I've heard about, and use in light rain.Sensors ranging from APS-C to full-frame are designed to match their lenses, which cover ranges from 28-75mm equivalent, so image quality is top-notch. It will also keep the same dumb ISO dial instead of a separate dial like on the M10.Most of all, I just love the pancake lens - simple, pocketable, easy, and the digital teleconverter seems good too.Budget-wise, I cannot quite justify spending 1000 on the F.Either you wait for the X100V and get the X100F at the lowest price it'll be in, or you wait for the X100V and get the X100V. Finally got a X100F.
Best easy-to-use cameras in 2020 Mar 2, 2020 at 22:19 If you want a camera that you can pick up and use without having to page through the manual first, then this guide is for you.I posted on DPReview and got rather unhelpful (non)advice, but eventually realized I had a lemon - an X100F with sticky aperture blades (despite this being a problem associated with much older models).Re: One month later: my Fuji X100F buying experience. This feels self-pitying, and perhaps paranoid, so I stifle this intuition.I had to reach out to eBay customer service just to overcome a perpetual spinning icon on the submit button. It then entered a long queue for inspection. It feels better to buy new, and local, perhaps, or direct from a warehouse.Re: One month later: my Fuji X100F buying experience. As soon as I took it out of Program mode, I realized something was amiss.I wondered why they couldn't just send me a new camera, and hated myself for not simply buying a new one.Sensors ranging from APS-C to full-frame are designed to match their lenses, which cover ranges from 28-75mm equivalent, so image quality is top-notch.
